COMIC UPDATE

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to thank all of our friends who have looked at the comic and liked what you've seen (you have impeccable taste). I've been quite the busy one lately so the stories were put on hold, although, this doesn't seem to stop my good friend Enrique from working hard. We just wanted to let you know that we're dedicated to bringing you at least 2 new stories every week. Your kind words are basically our motivation (that and it's tons of fun). So please keep on checkin up on us and if you think someone else will like it, shit, let em know about it. Also, if anyone has criticism that would be great too. The only way the quality will improve is knowing what can be done better.
On a different note, I've just seen two great movies over the weekend: The Friends Of Eddie Coyle and A Serious Man. Eddie Coyle stars Robert Mitchum and Peter Boyle and bunch of other familiar faces. It's kind of an overlooked crime flick from the 70's and it's superb. Serious Man is the new Coen Brothers film and they totally nailed it. I really wish they'd take their time and churn good one's like these more often.
Anyways, thanks a lot, the new stories will be up this week!

The Beautiful People

Written and Illustrated By: Enrique Barrios

This was some really funny information I received from my good friend Amy Given from El Paso, TX. Apparently, there was some kind of survey made by the website TotalBeauty.com. In my opinion, the name alone let's me know that they're a bunch of douche bags not worth for me to even talk, write, or draw about, but I found some humor in it instead. Tommy is in the process of writing a new issue, so expect great things soon enough.

This one was a very quickly made issue, so bare with us, but we hope you enjoy it in the light of things.....which apparently is the darkness in El Paso, TX. Viva The Filth!

Pain In The Shins

Pain In The Shins

Story By: Thomas Busch
Illustration: Enrique Barrios
Starring: Tommy Busch, Dave Hernandez, Tommy's Dad, Susan Busch

"Pain In The Shins" is a great short but comical and dark story of Thomas Busch and his several episodes dealing with awkwardness. As the illustrator, It was a pleasure drawing the "Grateful Dead" as a picture as well as try to replicate some of the actual Fillmore Music Festival posters for some of the backgrounds illustrated in this issue. I've learned to draw backgrounds especially when they deal with music scenarios. I think working with Mr. Thomas Busch makes that opportunity come more often than not.

I speak for myself but I am sure my good friend feels the same and we want to thank all our friends for their great feedback, support, and some really cheap bar tabs. We hope you enjoy this issue. It's a hefty one, so we'll probably going to take a short weekly brake unless somehting fast comes up that I can sketch up and Tommy can write.

Lustfully Yours,
Enrique

Wienerschnitzel

Wienerschnitzel

Story By: Thomas Busch
Illustration: Enrique Barrios
Starring: Tommy Bush and Joe Ayoub

This is a short story written by Mr. Tommy Busch and illustrated by Enrique Barrios. I'm not sure if it truly is just an El Paso, TX thing, but man, there were some good damn stories. We are going to try to upload these mini comics and create them as often as we can. The quality of the scans aren't there yet, but the humor will make you bleed from in between your toes.

Classic Villains Not Heroes

I can't begin to tell you all how inspired I am by my childhood villains. In the spirit of my childhood, I've found a great poster by artist Chris Lee (middle poster) which I'm starving to find. I've posted it  for you all to check out. With that, I'm inspired to come up with a series of posters myself of all my favorite villains. Hopefully I'll get around to printing some of them but I hope you enjoy the two posters I've created so far. For my personal website, please visit hovenes.com
